CITY OASIS
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK
Light filled apartment in the heart of Manhattan, this project was all about creating an oasis of tranquility for a busy professional couple and their tiny chihuahua.
Keeping to the Japandi aesthetic, natural materials including wood and stone are kept in a soft and light palette, punctuated by black and brass accents. Natural wallpapers add subtle texture. The couples’ collection of modern art is carefully curated adding a touch of color to each space.
Custom built-ins create a visual connection in the living room and office, providing much needed storage solutions in this city apartment. Design classics, such as the sculptural glass Noguchi coffee table in the living room, and the sinuous Gubi GMG chaise lounge in the bedroom, anchor each space.
